Numerous stories involving more than 50 characters created together
Lolo is a theater company formed in 2009 by playwright and director Naoyuki Miura. Produced by sampling pop cultures from all times and places, their portrayals of idiosyncratic “boy-meets-girl” encounters that deviate from conventional relationships attract people of all ages. They are currently seeking ways to expand their scope of theater arts, exemplified by the production of the Itsu Kou (Itsu High School) series, which started in 2015 to create works that revitalize drama activities at high schools. Their major works include Every Body feat. Frankenstein (performed at Tokyo Festival 2021), Romantic Comedy (2021), and BGM (2023).
